Position: Fashion Designer and Production assistant
Asfurah is always interested in hearing from talented, fashion-minded individuals with a passion for modest fashion. Based on performance, could lead to a part time or full-time paid design assistant position.

Who You Are:
A design/production intern who has a passion for all things fashion, marketing and hopes to learn on the job about the fashion world. You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and have the vision to help build and develop the brand. You have a great eye for detail, exude a strong fashion sense, and are industry savvy
Primary responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Support head designer and creator of Asfurah Nawal with the development of products. Research market trends and concepts that support the brand identity

Support marketing on Social media platforms, be savvy with platforms like canva, spark post or others

Assist team with fabric selection, pattern grading, and maintaining data entry and product line sheets

Cultivate relationships and effectively communicate to cross-functional partners including Merchandising and Product Development

Sourcing trim or fabric for design in fabric stores

Organizing various things around the office/ show room

Runway experience - including runway show design, curation and model management

Requirements for the Internship:

High school diploma or GED and 18 years or older
-
enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program is a plus but not necessary

Demonstrates passion for apparel industry and some product knowledge

Computer literacy including proficiency with google docs and spreadsheet

Must have a car and valid license

Hybrid of Elk grove, CA, USA, and remote work. Timing is semi-flexible
